Our self-drive hire horseboxes are engineered for strength, longevity, and effortless use. Built on trusted Citroen and Peugeot chassis, they provide a smooth, reliable journey for both horse and rider. Our Hire Fleet
- Driving Licence Requirements: Designed for accessibility; these vehicles can be driven on a standard Category B (Car) licence, meaning no HGV or C1 entitlement is required.
- Safety & Compliance: Fully serviced with documented regular safety inspections. Hire includes comprehensive insurance, roadside breakdown assistance, and specialist Equine Recovery.
- Chassis: Features a strong 2.3L engine, 6-speed manual gearbox, and a dual-camera CCTV system for monitoring your horse and reversing with ease. Three-man cockpit with ergonomic controls and high-visibility seating.
- Horse Comfort: Rear-facing travel with a reinforced bulkhead, an easy-lift aluminium ramp, and a spacious open-plan interior with minimal wheel arch intrusion. Large sturdy partition and full height headboard, opening top doors, four large opening windows and roof vent ensure your horse stays cool and calm, complemented by soothing blue travel lighting.
- Premium Storage: Includes a large external tack locker for two saddles and a keyless-entry living area with seating, USB charging, and ample cupboard space.
Our Hire Rates and Times
We have a wide range of hire times and days, starting from a three hour evening hire, four and six hour daytime hire, full days, weekends, full weeks and longer hire periods.

Important Information
There are a number of steps that you must take in order to hire one of our self-drive horseboxes.
- Make your Booking Enquiry; confirm your dates; pay your deposit. This will all be done over the phone.
- Read our Terms and Conditions of Hire; you will need to confirm that you have done this.
- Download and complete the appropriate Self Drive Hire Questionnaire.
- Submit your completed form to us.
